Natural beauty comes from within, thus what you put into your body is just as important as what you put on it. Organic beauty, clean eating, and using 100 pure products doesn’t have to be expensive. Organic beauty and a healthy lifestyle can be both fast and affordable. HeyFranHey kicks off the conversation recounting her struggles with kidney help, which lead her ‘to live a holistic lifestyle, and how to make organic shampoos, conditioners, lotion, and makeup at home! ShamelessMaya discusses how her organic lifestyle is a full time job and how she lives to prep and make organic products as gifts. While Jouelzy and DailyCurlz discuss how the choices they make on the products the use and consume make them feel forever young. Finally HeyFranHey wraps up the convo proclaiming that whether you wear no makeup, natural makeup, or beat your mug, always remember you’ll always be a natural beauty. Stay empowered. When I was pregnant with my first child, I really started to pay attention to labels on food and beauty items. I didn't want to consume anything that could potentially harm my child. That's really where the shift in my thinking took place. I make a few of my own beauty products, and I buy natural products when it comes to the things I don't actually make. I make an effort to eat organic, whole foods, but it can be challenging to stick with. I stopped wearing foundation entirely, but I still like to dress up my eyes with a little eyeshadow and mascara 😉.

+Hey Fran Hey and +Shameless Maya you guys are totally inspirational. I've been making your Shea butter regimen Fran. I've also introduced my daughter to it. She has a rare skin disorder and the Shea butter mixture helps the bruising look disappear, so much faster. I am great full for your existence. I am extremely busy, but I do make time to whip up your recipes!!!

Great to see this!  I have been following an all natural lifestyle for many years now.  I am turning gray and some say "color your hair to get rid of the gray" but I say no, this is natural and where I want to be.  I always check ingredients on product labels. The natural hair and body care movement is growing and good for the Earth's water supply and environment too!

I don't wear make up at all, not that i have anything against it, it's just not a part of my life or routine. I hate when people (because most people wear make up these days), make me feel like am doing something wrong by not wearing make up, like i didn't brush my teeth or something. Everybody has a right to decide whether they should wear make up or not. and no one should be made to feel like make up is necessary part of life. To all those who wear make up do you boos, but please don't treat those who don't wear make up like something is wrong with them, like they are not grooming properly.

I watched all of the videos of this web series and I just loved it. Its crazy how listening to The Read introduced me to The FriendZone which introduced me to HeyFranHey which in turn introduced me to all of these beautiful Women full of natural information, encouragement, and support. I love the movement and I'm sorry Fran for stalking your tumblr, Facebook, twitter, and youtube channel haha. All of this information couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you ladies so much...
Hey Fran Hey (3 years ago)
+GorgeeD No way! That's exactly what I want to hear!!!! :) Thank you for the support!

I would love to find a natural make up brand, I never wear foundation but i think lipsticks and mascara can really wake up your face on tired days. :)
Jhan (3 years ago)
I don't wear make-up either, unless I am attending a special event or something, which is usually like once or twice a YEAR! I often feel like a "Plain Jane" because of this. I see these gorgeous women everyday with flawless make-up, and I wonder if I am missing out... if that's the reason why I feel so plain. But I don't know.... I touch my face a lot and I'm not really sure I can handle getting make-up on everything, so I don't even bother.

I've always why Hey Fran Hey didn't wear makeup. I'm 18 and I don't wear makeup but everyone i know does. I HAVE to make my lip balm though. I just moisturize my lips, shape my brows and head out. Occasionally i'll use an eyelash curler when my lashes need it. I don't wear it because i think it's a waste of money and because idk how to put it on. I only feel obligated to wear it when i'm wearing a really fancy outfit lol.

I wear Bare Minerals Make-Up and always apply very little (Powder Foundation and Bronzer)on Sundays! I always want a classic finish, a natural finish if you will! I love my skin and always have, I actually did not start wearing it until my 30's! Yet, thank you for sharing!! Much Love and God Bless

I enjoyed this video, I try to have a healthy lifestyle but unfortunately I don't have the finances to buy what's needed, also I don't wear makeup except for lip gloss, eye liner an mascara. I'm trying to keep my skin looking healthy so i won't have to wear any makeup, if i do use anything it's bb cream.

Enjoyed the video! :) I didn't like wearing make up because it took me ages to get it off my face, but I've done some research and found great vegan and all natural make up which I am using now. And it takes me a minute to clear my skin! Couldn't be happier. :) Also, I think that this topic should be discussed way more cause people are so afraid of it (at least it is like that in my country, but I'm pretty sure it's the same everywhere...) :) So thank you for your contribution! Keep up with the great work ladies! Xxx

I love and try to live a organic lifestyle with the money I have, I love this topic! I have to be honest, mostly my everyday makeup is; mascara using a eyelash curler, soft lipstick with a lip balsam. Sometimes using the lipstick as an rouge and eye color.. There, there it is, a have told my secret, now it is out!! ;) <3 He he.. Great work! Have a lovely day! Love, Louise.

I love this episode and I am about to watch all the others ones. But I definitely agree. When I started to eat healthy, I started to be healthier in other parts of my life. Spiritually, mentally and consciously. It's definitely a trickle down effect. The more you know right... Again, I loooove this. Thank you for spreading such an awesome message.

Awesome video ladies! As far as living healthy I spend a long time at the supermarket looking at ingredients paying attention to what I put in my body. Incorporating a lot of fruits and veggies in my diet and drinking lots of water. And I don't wear a full face of makeup only lipstick or even just some chapstick and sometimes some eye shadow and similar to your reason it takes too much time to put on a bunch of makeup before stepping out the door lol

Great job Fran. Can't wait to see you on tv. Quick question, you posted a pic of you at two different sizes. How did you again the weight? Are you a vegan
bbisweet2 (3 years ago)
I don't care how many YouTube tutorials I watch I suck at applying makeup. I do like a wicked BB/CC cream a lil blush & a nude or pinkish lip.i wear glasses so mascara to me is pointless😍 I mean I luv watching my favs with beat faces shout out to Jouelzy eyebrows always on Fleek😄 but honestly ALL you ladies are gorg inside & out😚
Jazmin Jordan (3 years ago)
This was an amazing video & conversation on living a natural, healthy lifestyle, and maintaining natural beauty. I am not one to wear makeup very much, because I've never been into it. I prefer to maintain my healthy, beautiful skin. Fran, you have helped me to get into using organic, natural products for everything, and I have been using SheaMoisture products for my face & body since late summer 2013. People think I'm crazy for not wearing makeup. but I like it. I don't have a problem with makeup. I just wore foundation, a nude eye shadow, and mascara for the first time a week ago today, and I really liked it. But I still won't be wearing it on a regular basis. I love a nice moisturizer and some lip balm. I am also a vegetarian but I eat a lot of vegan foods majority of the time. Having sleep seizures as a child and a teenager helped me to come off of meat, and change my diet. That was 9 years ago. I will be checking out the other videos as well.

SheLovesLight (3 years ago)
i wear makeup on and off.  I'll be honest when my locs are freshly retwisted I wear makeup to work everyday. when my roots are puffy and my mane is gigantic Im more natural and wear less to no makeup.  it really depends on what i'm going for. now I'm letting my eyebrows grow out so i'm wearing no makeup.  it makes sense in my head. lol. #teamgemini

Well  as a guy I don't really wear makeup lol.  I don't look at ingredients I look at the price tag and what it says it can do for me hahaha. So bad I know. I kinda Froogle/cheap so I  try to get sales sometimes lol. I use hair masks sometimes. I have done egg and mayo at home or just egg, Iv done egg and honey in my hair. It's not a all of the time thing though.

I really enjoyed this video! Recently, just a few months ago back in March of this year I openly went natural with my hair, basically for the first time ever. I was always subconsciously embarrassed by my natural hair, so I would always tie it up in a ponytail up until the 6th grade. Then on, I would get my hair permed straight until my senior year of high school. I was so done with this unnatural lifestyle I was living with and just wanted to wear my hair how it really is: curly. Also, these past years, I've began to wear a LOT less makeup (just my brows, really!) haha. My self-esteem is better than ever! Thanks for the video!
RoseGold (3 years ago)
Loved the topic. I've been making my own face wash, body wash and skin lotions. All organic ! And I love it !!! I know what's on my skin, it's cheaper and faster. Won't go back to chemicals. I now use less make up then I used to but I do need my concealer and mascara. My skin loves it feeling more confident than ever ! Thx for the video !

I loved this video ladies... Very much needed wellness and ingredients in products are very much linked. Good tip about prepping for smoothies😊
I love my make up but now I'm being conscious about it and using cruilty free, vegan companies such a NYX and Sugar Pill. That way I can have my colors and true to my morals.
Silver Sun Faerie (3 years ago)
Loved this! Although I am no longer a loose natural - I'm loc'ing my hair - much of this content and some content from other loose natural vloggers is useful to me or resonates with me. Starting out as a loose natural inspired me to make hair care products. After I saw how beneficial making hair products was, I looked up recipes for making skin care and household cleaning products, I even became a dietary and ethical vegan and embraced minimalism. An organic lifestyle is definitely more than hair care! On another note, all of you ladies look gorgeous!
Lydia Jackson (3 years ago)
I love this!  I love makeup, but I don't wear it every day (mainly just because I'm lazy, but also to keep my skin from getting clogged) and when I do, I try to use the most naturally based products as possible, organic, cruelty free and all that good stuff.  I'm also a huge fan of natural and home-made toiletries and remedies. I swear by coconut oil and I use it for SO many things, I also love to use essential oils for all kinds of stuff, but I could definitely learn about more ways to incorporate natural and organic ingredients into my life, so I'm going to subscribe to some of these lovely ladies (I'm already part of the shameless family!) and try to learn more!

Fran I am that crunchy nut eating, label reading, light makeup wearing vegan girl.  I like to even up the skin-tone and apply mascara and go.  Love this.  I see +SweetPotatoSoul left a comment you should have a meet up with her you would LOVE her!  xoxo

I loved this conversation. Wish it was longer and their was a range of ages represented here. I think this is a conversation we should have often, especially as women of color. Thanks!
dmusic346 (3 years ago)
I love this video. I've changed what products I use since I went natural. Now I read labels on everything. I've also changed my diet to one that focuses on fruits and vegetables. I've even made this awesome body butter based on one of your recipes.  I never thought I would be an diy type person but some of these products are just cheaper to to do yourself. I'm not a makeup girl honestly cause I don't have a clue how to use it.
MyJessicaJ (3 years ago)
I really enjoyed this video and I'm a lot more aware of the products I use too xoxo
Sieee Johnson (3 years ago)
I definitely want to start being more organically beautiful! I'll have to look into making my own hair products! Sounds scary but rewarding! I'm still learning about makeup but I think it could be a fun thing! I don't wear it everyday and probably never will but it's sort of like a piece of art. I get this certain air of confidence when I put it on but I'm working on keeping my confidence on when the makeup is not! This was a great video and this series is bringing up a great topic and conversation!

I'm loving this series!
Shameless Maya (3 years ago)
Awww!!! This was so much fun! i'm not 100 "organic" but I do try to opt for a healthy lifestyle that suits my day to day. More important to me eating fresh fruits and understanding most ingredients in the label. If fruits & veggies aren't organize I make sure to wash them with either a fruit spray or sea salt and SCRUB. Thanks for having me!!!
Hey Fran Hey (3 years ago)
+Shameless Maya It really was! Wish we all had more time.
TishaTheBrave (3 years ago)
I'm organic and ingredient concious to the T! Ever since I went natural I was basic because Naptural85 was my guide for the longest! and my hair thrived and I realized that I could benefit from everything else so now all my makeup if I choose to wear it which nowadays I don't is all natural brands. I know grow my own food because I'm trying to benefit from the nutrients

Great video ladies. Well for me i love to see natural beauty and i think everyone has it but are affraid to show it. I wear very little make-up so i don't buy a lot of it. I started making my own products whether its for hair or make up, when i watched you videos  so thank you for the [email protected]

At the end I do what I can afford.
Hey Fran Hey (3 years ago)
+Danielle Greer Well said! And it's beautiful how concerned you are with your mother's well being.
Danielle Greer (3 years ago)
I wear makeup when I feel like it but honestly full makeup breaks me out sometimes. I want like organic or natural makeup that wont do that but most of the time its super expensive and SMALL. And you know what i'd still buy it because I don't wear it that often. And the over all natural lifestyle is hard for me because I help my mom out a lot and she RARELY tries new things. So a smoothie without tons of sugar is out of the question. But if I only make my own food then I don't have money to get her something...
alwayz classy (3 years ago)
I actually decided to live a more holistic lifestyle when my anxiety started to turn into depression. I realized that the foods I was consuming, and the lifestyle that was living was contributing to my poor physical and mental health. I was also having allergic reactions to certain preservatives in meats. I got off butt, started to exercise, eat organic, and cleared my cluttered mental space. This was my life saver. Thanks for these videos. They're greatly appreciated.
Hey Fran Hey (3 years ago)
+alwayz classy It's fascinating how much of a role nutrition plays in everything, from your skin and hair to your mind overall.
Gabrielle Ocasio (3 years ago)
I wear makeup off and on because sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't Bahahaha sometimes I like putting the work in and other days I say screw makeup!!!!!!! With all the organic stuff I am a label nazi not gonna lie if I don't know what an ingredient is I look it up on my phone I the spot at the store and look insane looking for a nice loaf of bread for 45 minutes. I clean with organic products and my whole skin and body care routines are totally organic. Now I'm working on makeup and food and trying to get those to be totally organic as well

+Victoria Ouste' Right! It's not so much about hating it but the fact that not everyone is interested in adding it to their daily regimen.

I don't wear makeup for a few reasons: it's costly, I dont know how to use it well, and, like Fran, I'm lazy a don't want to take the time. I do like learning about how I can incorporate natural, organic, and ethical things in my lifestyle.
Faith Bell (3 years ago)
+Hey Fran Hey Sorry, you said you prefer not wearing makeup bc you like to get up and go. I'd rather laze around and then realize I don't have time to do makeup or anything.

Thanks to many of the ladies in this Platform series I have learned so much.  I read ingredients on everything from food to hair care products, which I never did 4 yrs. ago.  I will also make a mean shea butter whip for my hair, thank you Naptural85 ;) I'm not much of a make up wearer, just pretty much stink to a little Bare Minerals foundation and a lippie.

I loved this video! No, let's be real, I loved them all :) However, I especially appreciated the conversation about cleaner more natural beauty. I wear make up, though mostly just for videos and special occasions. Seeing these beautiful women with minimal and natural makeup makes me so happy!  I would love to hear more about clean eating, especially since our communities (black and latino) have the worse health outcomes in the country :(  I'll be sharing these vids for sure!! xo
